It is with great pride that the CGV presents to its youtube and Instagram population one of my longest running wishes.

People need to understand the emotional connection that many feel with firearms, and the special place that they hold in the hearts of the great people that own them.

This Beretta 92F represented a very dangerous and unforgettable time in Bugsy's life; as he served his country overseas during the height of the cold war.

The entire world was convinced that conflict was inevitable and for a man that I have NEVER known to shy away from a fight to admit to me that he was convinced on at least two occasions that the war was about to start and that he was frightened .....made me understand that this was the kind of real courage that had to be recognized somehow; in the way that was within our power to do.

Hearing his wife say that she really wished that the Beretta had never left his care; that it was the first thing they had ever purchased as a couple, and that they had trained with it together in preparation for dangers that were very real..... prompted me to track it down.

The idea that we could return to him this incredible part of his past for he an his wife to enjoy, in the very same box it was bought in over 30 years ago while stationed in Germany, was more than just a little exciting for me.

Knowing that Bugsy had devoted his entire adult life to the service of his country as a Canadian Soldier and then to the community that he would call home as a Police Officer, for a full 30 years in one of the roughest cities in Canada.....inspired us here at the CGV to get this pistol back and present it to him upon his retirement.

The 4 years we waited, was well worth it.

I saw the look of sadness on his face over four years ago when he believed that the Beretta had been lost to the sands of time, was something I just couldn't let that happen.

Seeing the Beretta go back to its rightful owner 30 years later and knowing what it meant to him, was something I had been looking forward to doing for a very long time, and that I was very proud to be part of.

Thankyou Bugsy for being such a good man, a dear friend, and an example of courage we should all look up to.
